Mullins retains Plusvital Trainers’ Championship at Leopardstown Christmas Festival 2022

With crowds returning to the track and attendance numbers up overall across the four day festival, Leopardstown reminded us just how much we had missed Christmas racing. From the second day of the festival it was clear this year’s Plusvital Trainers’ Championship was set to return to the 2021 recipient, Willie Mullins. Winning six of Tuesday seven races Mullins stormed ahead of the field. Racing on Wednesday saw Gordon Elliott and Joseph O’Brien ranking up wins to move them up the leaderboard standings but it was not enough to contest Mullins’ lead. An stellar performance from State Man as part of day four’s action, Mullins remained unbeaten for the second year in a row as the Champion Trainer of the festival. A total of 13 wins across this year’s Leopardstown Christmas Racing Festival, Plusvital CEO Mike Shelly presented Mullins with the Champion Trainer’s trophy and €1500 of Plusvital products.

We wish to congratulate all those connected with this year’s winners.
