Top Two Secured: McEvoy and Fitzpatrick Book Spots at 2025 Dublin Horse Show
The sixth leg of the 2025 Plusvital Premier Series delivered a nail-biting finale at Tattersalls July 27th, where 27 of Ireland’s top show jumpers tackled a challenging 1.50m track. With only two coveted invitations to the prestigious International Classes at the 2025 Dublin Horse Show up for grabs, the pressure was on.
Only seven competitors made it through to the jump-off after a tough first round. Among them were the series' leading contenders, with leaderboard tension running high.
It was Niamh McEvoy who rose to the occasion, producing two immaculate clear rounds aboard Olympic GL FVD, a 12-year-old gelding owned by Keith Ennis. McEvoy stopped the clock at 51.70 seconds in the jump-off, clinching victory and pushing herself up to the top of the leaderboard. This marks her second leg win on Olympic GL FVD, who also took top honours in Mullingar. McEvoy has now won five out of the six legs of the 2025 series, and on four different horses, a testament to her depth of talent.
Joining her with a guaranteed place at Dublin is Susan Fitzpatrick, who came into the final leg leading the standings on 24 points. Riding the ever-consistent Valisco PS, who finished seventh.
Second place on the day went to Max Reilly Hyland and his homebred 8-year-old Rock Warrior, another clear in the jump-off. Cathal Daniels, Plusvital’s own brand ambassador, took third place aboard Cappog Tomy, with all three riders delivering the only double clear rounds of the class.
The remaining top six included:
4th: Gemma Phelan and Curraghraigue Jack Bro
5th: Susan Fitzpatrick and Lovely Stassi PS
6th: Jonathan Smyth and Mulvin Lui
