Plusvital Marks a Busy Q1 of 2026

Plusvital has made a strong start to 2026, with an active first quarter marked by nationwide competition activity, international event presence, ambassador success, and continued expansion of its industry partnerships.

Strong Start with the Plusvital Spring Series

The year began with the successful Plusvital Spring Series, which ran across multiple locations throughout Ireland and attracted strong participation from riders at all levels.

The series continues to play an important role in supporting both developing and experienced combinations in a competitive but educational environment. Following the success of the Spring Series, Plusvital is pleased to continue and expand its partnership with Eventing Ireland, becoming title sponsor of the EI110 League for the summer season.

Winner of the EI110 League, Michael O’Toole, reflected on the the series: 

“The Plusvital Spring Series has been great, there’s been a location for everyone, really suitable for older and younger horses just starting.”

Industry engagement and International Presence

A key early-season highlight was Plusvital’s involvement in the Irish Equine Reproduction Symposium, held at Tinnakilly House. The team showcased its veterinary-focused product range, Micro-Sponge, OCDx & Betapulmin. Our CTO and AfN Nutritionist Rebecca Watson delivered an equine nutrition talk, reinforcing the company’s science-led approach to equine performance and wellbeing.

Rebecca Watson also spent the opening months of the year supporting Plusvital’s growing international distributor and promoter network, visiting Norway with distributor Heimer, Orkney with Plusvital promoter Davina Johnston, Denmark for the Herning Stallion Show, Mongolia with distributor Mongol Equestrian, and the USA to support distributor Sport Horse Nutrition while attending the KER Equine Health and Nutrition Conference at the World Equestrian Center.

Internationally, Plusvital exhibited at Spoga Horse 2026, where Effident was recognised among the Top 30 innovations in the Proof of Innovation showcase. The team also exhibited at the National Equine Show in the UK, engaging directly with the wider equestrian community.

Sponsorship highlights and competition success

Plusvital sponsored the 5-year-old Future Stars Class at Garranemore Equestrian Centre on April 25th. Niamh McEvoy delivered an exceptional performance, securing the top three placings.

Internationally, Plusvital ambassador Mikey Pender, based with Hughes Horse Stud, recorded multiple wins at international level throughout the quarter. Susan Fitzpatrick competed for the Scandinavian Vikings in Miami producing a clear an individual 8th with Lovely Stassi. The team visited Denis Lynch at his base in the Netherlands seeing horses including Vistogrand and Chicago which will have a busy summer campaign.

Speaking on long-term ambassador support, Susan Fitzpatrick’s groom Caoimhe Murphy highlighted:

“We are fortunate to be sponsored by Plusvital for a number of years now. One product we particularly love is Sport Syrup, because it’s full of vitamins and prebiotics which aid digestive health and recovery after intense exercise.”

In racing, Gavin Cromwell is enjoying a fine season securing victory in the historic Goffs Thyestes Chase aswell as a Cheltenham Festival winner, while Johnny Murtagh enjoyed a strong run of form, including a treble at Cork Racecourse. With the flat racing season now underway, Plusvital looks forward to another exciting summer across the racing industry.

Premier Series Launch and Looking Ahead

The quarter concluded with the launch of the 2026 Plusvital Premier Series at the Ballypatrick Open Day, marking the third year of the initiative.

Greg Broderick commented on the importance of the series:

“This series is hugely important for the riders at home to keep themselves and their horses competing at a high standard to get ready for the international shows.”
