Jason Foley Claims Plusvital Premier Series Victory at Mullingar

The second leg of the Plusvital Premier Series took centre stage at Mullingar Equestrian Centre on June 1st, bringing an exciting conclusion to the venue's two-week International Show. A challenging 1.50m track welcomed 61 combinations, with riders battling for valuable league points as the series starts to heat up.

Of the 61 starters, just nine combinations produced a clear first round to advance to the jump-off. Claiming victory was Jason Foley aboard the Ellie Guy and Chedington Equestrian-owned Cute Face. The 12-year-old grey gelding, by Christian 25 out of an Argentinus mare and bred by H. Hölscher, delivered the fastest time to stop the clock in 40.95 seconds.

Following his win, Foley, who is based with Ger O'Neill at Castlefield Sport Horses, spoke about the importance of the series:

"It's brilliant to be able to follow this league. Obviously, we want to try and go to Dublin for the five-star, so this is a great route to firstly try and get accepted by finishing in the top two in the series and secondly to produce the horses to go there when we need to. It's very important to have this league and we appreciate it a lot."

Second place went to Dermott Lennon and Kinmar Right On Time, while Commandant Geoff Curran and Hawthornhill secured third place.

The remaining top-six placings were:

4th: Jack Kent & Ollie van de Klotputten
5th: Jonathan Smyth & Mulvin Lui
6th: Francis Derwin & Flexi K

In addition to prize money, the top six combinations received Plusvital supplement packs containing Neutragast, Effivet Gel, Chillax, Bronc Eze, and a voucher.
