Francis Derwin Secures RDS Qualification & First Plusvital Premier Series Victory

The penultimate leg of the 2026 Plusvital Premier Series took place last weekend at the Tattersalls Ireland July Show, where an exciting afternoon of top-class jumping saw Francis Derwin Jr. and the impressive Parvati Aeg claim their first ever Premier Series victory.

The 11-year-old mare, owned by Francis Derwin, is by Arezzo VDL out of a Darco mare and produced a superb performance to top a highly competitive field of 41 combinations. Nine combinations progressed to the jump-off, with seven producing double-clear rounds in a thrilling finish.

Speaking after his victory, Francis said:

"Parvati jumped amazing today. It's brilliant to win my first Premier Series class and even better to qualify for Dublin. It's very good to have Plusvital on board – these classes are very important for riders at home."

The Tattersalls leg carried added significance as the final two qualifying places for the 2026 Dublin Horse Show were decided. Securing those coveted tickets were Francis Derwin Jr. and Jason Foley, whose excellent third-place finish was enough to book his place at the RDS next week.
