Willie Mullins crowned Plusvital Leading Trainer at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival

Willie Mullins rounded off a very memorable Christmas period by being named the Plusvital Leading Trainer at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival.

The Plusvital Leading Trainer Award saw trainers receive points for their successes at each day of the Christmas Festival. With an incredible 11 individual winners over the four days,  Willie Mullins was  presented with €1500 worth of Plusvital  products. Highlights over Christmas included Sharjah’s fourth win in the Grade 1  Matheson Hurdle on the final day of the four day festival. In doing so, Sharjah joined an illustrious list of previous champions with  both Hurricane Fly and Istabraq having previously won the race four times. However, only Sharjah’s four wins have come in four consecutive years.

The Carlow based trained also trained  The Nice Guy to win The Plusvital INH Race to complete a clean sweep in the bumper races across the four days for Willie Mullins.
