Association Of Sequence Variants In CKM And COX4I2 Genes With Racing Performance In Thoroughbred Horses

Association Of Sequence Variants In CKM And COX4I2 Genes With Racing Performance In Thoroughbred Horses: This study aimed to identify the relationship between sequence variants (SNPs) in performance related genes in the Thoroughbred racehorse and racecourse performance. Three SNPs in the CKM and COX4IA genes were significantly different between horses who had won a race and those that hadn’t, indicating they may be linked to elite performance.
